Lots of support for Bernie Sanders around here.
Run Bernie, Run!
For those of you who are enthusiastically supporting him now, I have a question to ask you:
Are you serious?
'Coz if you are, then he needs your help. He's running for the
Democratic Party nomination. Not the Magical Mystery Party nomination.
The Democratic Party nomination.
So, if he is to actually run for president in the general election, he needs your help. He needs you to either vote in your state's Democratic primary, or actually show up to a caucus if you live in a caucus state.
In some primary states and all caucus states, you will need to
register as a Democrat in order to do this. In most states, some time
in advance, as well.
Of course, both before and after the primaries, he will also need people to work on his campaign. Make calls. Wear out shoes. Bruise your knuckles knocking.
But if you aren't planning to, at the very least, vote in a Democratic Party primary to advance him, then shut the hell up.
Because if that's you're plan, then you're really not telling Bernie to run at all.
You're telling him to take a hike.
